White to Indian Comparison

Since Junior goes to a white school in Reardan, everyone on the rez calls him an apple. "Red on the outside, white on the inside". If I was an Indian who lived on a rez, I would be very offended by this comment, because it insults the color tone of my skin.


If you were an Indian, would you be offended by this comment? If so, why? If you aren't offended, why not?
